Daniel King - FLC facilitator Bio - Associate Professor, Chemistry
My current research is in the field of Chemical Education. My interests include the effectiveness of active learning techniques, such as the use of technology in the classroom (e.g., personal response devices, or clickers) and guided inquiry activities (e.g., Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning, or POGIL). I am also involved in the development of in-class activities that use climate change topics to teach chemistry content. I teach at both the undergraduate (general chemistry, everyday chemistry, environmental chemistry) and graduate (environmental chemistry) level.

Mesha Hunte-Brown - FLC member Bio - Assoc Teaching Professor, Biology
I am an Ecologist by training but currently teach non-major Biology courses as well as Environmental Science. I teach face to face as well as online. My face to face classes are typically large ranging from 400 - 700 students. Teaching has always been my passion, therefore in my current niche as the instructor of large service courses I am intrigued by all the opportunities to use classroom technologies to shrink the impersonal space and make the lecture hall a place where my students can become interested in the content as well as enjoy the learning experience.

Kevin Owens - FLC member Bio - Associate Professor, Chemistry Department
I am an analytical chemist; my research is focused on the use of mass spectrometry for the analysis of both biological (peptides & proteins) and synthetic polymer (plastics) samples. I teach courses at both the undergraduate (instrumental analysis I & II) as well as the graduate level (spectroscopic methods, mass spectrometry, statistics & experimental design in chemistry, and chemical instrumentation). I particularly enjoy teaching lab-based classes- believing strongly in the old Drexelism "learn by DUing". I've also been struggling for a long time trying to figure out how to improve this education thing.
